Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist Arena
Start Time: 1:30pm
End Time: 3:30pm
Entry Fee: $5
Prize Support ( end of the month overall winners ):
1st: 3 booster packs
2nd: 2 booster packs
3rd: 1 booster pack
-$5 for the day.
-You get 20 Star tokens to begin with.
-Participants can challenge whoever they want.
-You CAN NOT challenge the same person more than once for the duration of that day's event. (unless there's just not enough participants of course)
-There is no penalty for a bye, nor a gain.
-Players must challenge other players, if there is a scenario where people are trying to not challenge in order to get a bye, or willfully not trying to challenge to save their Star tokens, or a friend group is just continually challenging each other, then the D&D team has full authority to pair people regardless of Star token count.
-No proxy (unless you legitimately own the card and can prove ownership)
-Players who are challenged by other players with fewer Star tokens than them can not refuse the challenge.
-Players who have fewer Star tokens than the player that challenged them can deny the challenge.
-Players who have equal Star tokens can either accept or deny the challenge.
-You can wager up to a maximum of 5 Star Tokens at one time.
-It will be best of 3. 45 minute time limit.
-Players wager Star tokens before their games begin, anywhere from 1-3 Star tokens max. The wager can not exceed the amount of Star tokens the player with the fewest Star tokens has. The wager is for the entire best of 3, not the individual games themselves.
-At the end of the event players will report their Star token count to a D&D team member to be accurately tallied and all Star tokens will be given back to the shop to be re-issued at the beginning of the next event.
-1st, 2nd and 3rd places are determined by overall Star token count at the end of the month. If there is a tie, then the two will play one more Bo3 and the winner of that gets the placing. The loser will then challenge the person in the ranking below them for that spot. ( Example: If a tie for 1st happens, the loser challenges 2nd place, then the loser of that challenges 3rd place.) Hopefully having Star token count as a placing prevents this from ever happening but if it does, this is how it will play out.
-No deck swapping. You must finish the day's event with the same deck you started. However, you can use a different deck during the next event if you'd like.
-No refunds once the Duelist Arena begins.
1st place: 3 booster packs
2nd place: 2 booster packs
3rd place: 1 booster pack
*this will be a "living event" where it will evolve as we fine tune it over time*
